I like the info, pretty good from a company that does more than a few P2P teams.

I would genuinely chuckle at that. XD

They tried with Razah, and then gave up, because it was too difficult to implement. Then tried again with M.O.X, same story.

It would be great if "the third time's a charm" though...

John and company would probably not be so reserved in grabbing up more people for the Test Krewe if they knew the people they were bringing in weren't going to be a large leak risk for them.
Just a thought.

I heard about that. I love that good ole Johnny tries to reassure us that they're doing a great job, though!
How many TK guys are even left, I wonder? I'd bet it's less than 100, and PvP TK members must be few and far between.

Um....why? The TK already leaks like once a month (or more).

Well then maybe they could try and find a way to enforce their non-disclosure agreement O.O Although I admit it would be hard to do because of what they aren't supposed to disclose and they can't always figure out who's leaking what. If a couple people ended up with lawsuits I'm sure the agreement would be taken more seriously O.O just a thought.

The big things buzzing in the Guild Wars communities are the upcoming Dervish update, some GvG changes, and the loose threads from the War in Kryta (specifically Kieran Thackeray and Evennia’s disappearances, the Seer on the asuran operating table, and Gwen’s wedding). Can you tell us anything new about those upcoming additions to Guild Wars?
|
Anyone notice how they manage to skip over that part in their answer? I mean I don't GvG but alot of my spare time ends up going into obs. So I mean even I would like to see some changes and it doesn't really effect me O.O

Honestly, last I heard, they haven't really had anything for the TK to do in a while (besides troll their forums). So, I don't even think they have to worry about leaks right now.
The dervish leaks that got out weren't even solid skill changes. They were ideas, and weak ones at that. From my understanding, they've done little-to-no work on the skill update.

lolz @costume brawl that happens one time a year is getting more love than the Derv update which impacts the game more long term. this just sounds like cover for, "we need more time to do the derv update, because secretly we aren't working too much on gw1 at all."
costume brawl is great, don't get me wrong, but I would rather have actual long-lasting game content being worked on UNLESS you are making costume brawl a permanent fixture in the battle-isles. if not john stumme, i call shenanigans on using costume brawl as an excuse for why the derv stuff isn't done.

Well there is hope that because they are working on it that they will make it like longer lasting or idk...permanent? I mean we still have a TA spot open... :\
But tbh they'll probably RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO it up :\

Wow. How disappointing....
Since you know, Costume Brawl should've been worked on a long time ago what with the automatic updates for festival events. Say a damn year ago where Palm Strike raped the CB metagame.
Which means the Dervish update is being postponed for shitty CB builds and mechanics to cover their own asses while hiding behind the postponing of the Derv updates.
They are trying to distract people from the Derv update...

End is 1337 pro Hax0r wit the mad skillz. Do not trust.
Anyone else feels like, ArenaNet is holding back, a lot! Don't leave your loyal fanbase in the dark! What is taking so long? Need more Test Kwere? Programming take to long? GW2 is the prime focus? Lacking in ideas? What is the problem?!
Don't forget ArenaNet, Guild Wars created Guild Wars 2, so give it some much needed attention. Don't leave the father of the soon to be divine deity of gaming behind. An old game is not a dead one.

There is nothing really new or surprising from that interview, just more words and still no action (since WiK cliffhanger ending). I doubt that CB changes would breathe any new life into the already tire and true holiday events. I mean if there was something new along the lines of what happened to UW awhile back ago, during this Halloween event then it might bring people back. There is still FoW and Menzies but that is probably asking for too much.
Honestly as they keep saying major changes to the Dervish for new gameplay mechanics, makes me wonder how insignificant it will actually be when it arrives. The delay’s are not helping it’s credibility either, without any type of small preview at what’s to come.
Sorry John, I know you are playing favoritism to the Halloween event since you made that clear in the last interview, but Dervish class update would be more successful. At least then you could work on the next class by the end of this year.

I'm still seeing a lot of tunnel and not as much light.
But I keep remembering how successful the Mesmer update was in my opinion, so I'm willing to wait it out. I might as well be, since I can't do a thing about it anyway.

Yes I am quite aware, and then I can also take the runes off of them as well as change weapons....
still hope we can see something soon about WiK....though we all know anets time table (they say one month which means 6months...they say next week means next month, etc).
and with halloween coming up we know they will have another costume for sale
